1. What is ORGAMETRIL and what is it used for?

ORGAMETRIL is a progestagen similar to the natural hormone progesterone, it contains linestrenol.

Progestagens such as ORGAMETRIL are often prescribed for use in the treatment of menstrual cycle disorders.

2. How to use ORGAMETRIL?

Instructions for proper use and dose/frequency of administration

Always use ORGAMETRIL exactly as your doctor has told you. If you have any doubts about this, check with your doctor or pharmacist.

The dose usually used in menstrual cycle disorders and some other disorders: 14th-25th of the cycle. It is in the form of 1 tablet every day between days. The first day of the cycle is the first day of menstruation. In the treatment of excessive or prolonged menstrual bleeding, 2 tablets of ORGAMETRIL are used daily for 10 days. For some other diseases, ORGAMETRIL should be taken daily for long periods of time. In this case, there is no drug-free month.

Application route and method

Take the tablets at about the same times each day with a sufficient amount of liquid (for example, a glass of water).

3. What are the possible side effects?

Like all medicines, there may be side effects in people who are sensitive to the substances contained in ORGAMETRIL.

ORGAMETRIL may cause side effects depending on the dosage and the sensitivity of the patient.

Side effects are listed as shown in the following category:

Very common: It can be seen in at least 1 in 10 patients.

Common: less than 1 in 10 patients, but more than 1 in 100 patients.

Uncommon: less than 1 in 100 patients, but more than 1 in 1000 patients. Rare: less than 1 in 1000 patients.

Very rare: less than 1 in 10,000 patients.

Not known: It can be seen in too few patients to be determined with the available data.

Not Known: Frequency cannot be known from the available data.

• Hypersensitivity

• Fluid accumulation in tissues (fluid retention)

• Asabiyyah

• Depressed mood

• Decrease or increase in sexual desire (libido)

•    Headache

• Migraine

• dizziness

• Nausea

• Vomiting

• Abdominal pain

•    Diarrhea

• Constipation

• jaundice (icterus)

• Increased sweating

• Chloasma (pregnancy spots eg: discoloration of the skin)

• Itching

• Lubrication of the skin (seborrhea)

• Acne

• Skin reactions

• Increased body or facial hair. Vaginal bleeding, primarily in the first two months of treatment (between normal menstrual bleeding)

• Tenderness in breasts

• Absence of menstrual bleeding

• Change in vaginal secretions

• Slight rise in blood sugar after a meal (decreased glucose tolerance)

• Changes in lipid and cholesterol levels in the blood

Tell your doctor if you experience any of these undesirable effects, especially vaginal bleeding that your doctor has not evaluated.

4. Things to consider before using ORGAMETRIL

DO NOT USE ORGAMETRIL in the following situations

If:

• you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant;

• if you have a severe liver disease such as jaundice, liver inflammation (hepatitis), liver tumor, Rotor's syndrome or rare liver diseases such as Dubin-Johnson syndrome, or if your liver has not yet healed as a result of such disease;

• you have vaginal bleeding that has not been evaluated by your doctor;

• worsened during pregnancy or previous hormone therapy; if you have health problems such as jaundice, severe itching, skin rash (herpes gestationes), a metabolic liver disease (porphyria) or an inherited hearing impairment (otosclerosis);

• if you have an atherosclerosis. A vein occlusion is the formation of a blood clot in the blood vessels (eg: in the legs (deep vein thrombosis)) or in the lungs (pulmonary embolism).

• If you have hypersensitivity (hypersensitivity) to ORGAMETRIL or any of its excipients.

USE ORGAMETRIL CAREFULLY in the following situations

In some cases, you may need to be examined regularly by your doctor. Therefore, it is important to inform your doctor if you have or have had any of the following health problems;

• blood clotting disorders (eg thrombosis)

• heart or blood vessel diseases

• severe depression

• liver diseases such as jaundice or liver tumor
