1. What ADVANTAN is and what it is used for

ADVANTAN suppresses inflammatory and allergic skin reactions and relieves symptoms caused by skin problems such as redness, skin thickening, skin layer formation, edema, itching and other complaints (burning sensation or pain).

ADVANTAN is used for the treatment of yeast (eczema) by applying it to the skin. Advantan Cream is used for sudden onset eczema, chronic itchy skin inflammation with raised and reddened skin due to neural causes, degenerative contact eczema, watery eczema, itchy skin with coin-shaped rashes, eczema in children, and eczema not otherwise classified.

Advantan Cream has a high water and low oil content and is particularly suitable for acute and excruciating eczema, very oily skin and light or hairy parts of the body.

ADVANTAN is supplied in aluminum tubes and cardboard boxes, containing 30 g of white to yellowish opaque cream, with a plastic cap.

As with other corticoids for topical application, the following local side effects may occur: Unknown frequency (cannot be estimated from the available data)

Skin atrophy (thinning), skin striae (cracks), hair follicle inflammation at the application site, excessive hair growth, enlargement of capillaries, perioral (around the mouth) dermatitis, skin discoloration and allergic reactions to the ingredients in the formulation may occur. Systemic effects may occur due to absorption when topical preparations containing corticoids are applied.
