What is Anandazole and what is it used for?

ANDAZOL is a film-coated tablet containing 200 mg of albendazole, presented in blister packs of 2, 6 and 40 tablets. Film tablets are white, biconvex and round. ANDAZOL is an anthelmintic drug. It prevents the newly hatched insect larvae from developing or reproducing in the body. ANDAZOL is used to treat certain infections caused by intestinal worms such as pig tapeworm and dog tapeworm.

Hydatid cyst disease:

In persons with a body weight of 60 kg or more;

400 mg taken twice a day with meals for 28 days. Then there is a 14-day break. This scheme is repeated 3 times.

For people with a body weight less than 60 kg;

15 mg / kg taken twice a day with meals for 28 days. Then there is a 14-day break. This scheme is repeated 3 times.

Neurocysterkosis:

In persons with a body weight of 60 kg or more;

400 mg taken twice a day with meals for 8-30 days.

For people with a body weight less than 60 kg;

15 mg / kg is taken twice a day with meals for 8-30 days.

Other Helminthiasis Infections:

Dosage schedule for adults:

Ascariasis, Enterobiasis (Oxyuriasis), Hookworm disease (N.americanus, A.duodenale), Triehuriasis, Trichostrongyliasis: 400 mg albendazole (2 ANDAZOL 200 mg Film Tablets) are taken in a single dose. The treatment can be repeated after 3 weeks.

Taeniasis (T.saginata, T.solium) and Strongyloidiasis: Take 400 mg albendazole (2 ANDAZOL 200 mg Film Tablets) once a day for 3 days consecutively. The treatment can be repeated after 3 weeks. Capillariasis: 200 mg albendazole (1 ANDAZOL 200 mg Film Tablet) twice a day is taken for 10 days.

Trichinosis: 400 mg albendazole (2 ANDAZOL 200 mg Film Tablets) twice a day is taken for 15 days.

Chlonorchiasis: 1 or 2 times a day 400 mg albendazole (2 ANDAZOL 200 mg Film Tablets) is taken for 7 days or 10 mg / kg albendazole twice a day for 7 days. Giardiasis: 400 mg albendazole a day (2 ANDAZOL 200 mg Film Tablets) are taken for 3 days.

Application route and method

ANDAZOL is for oral use only.

Take the tablets with at least a glass of water (approximately 120 ml). Some people, especially children, may find it difficult to swallow the tablets whole. In this case, the tablets should be swallowed with water after crushing or chewing.

In the treatment of Taeniasis and Strongyloidiasis:

- For children up to the age of 2: 200 mg albendazole (1 ANDAZOL 200 mg Film Tablet) once a day for 3 days consecutively. The treatment can be repeated after 3 weeks.

- For children over 2 years of age: The dosage scheme for adults is applied.

In the treatment of capillariasis: 200 mg albendazole 2 times a day (1 ANDAZOL 200 mg Film

Tablet)

In the treatment of trichostrongyliasis: 400 mg albendazole as a single dose (2 ANDAZOL 200 mg Film Tablets)

Special use cases

Kidney failure:

If you forgot to use ANDAZOL
