Active ingredient
One ml of solution contains 1.5 mg (0.15%) brimonidine tartrate.


Excipients
Purite (stabilized oxychloro complex), boric acid, calcium chloride dihydrate, magnesium chloride hexahydrate, potassium chloride, sodium borate decahydrate, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid and / or sodium hydroxide for pH adjustment, and purified water.
What is ALPHAGAN-P and what is it used for?

ALPHAGAN P is an eye drops available as a 5 ml solution in a plastic bottle.

ALPHAGAN P is an antiglaucoma preparation. Its active substance is brimonidine and belongs to a group of drugs called alpha adrenergic receptor antagonists.

ALPHAGAN P is used to reduce high pressure in the eye. This high pressure can cause a disease called glaucoma. If the high pressure is not reduced, it can damage your vision.

3.How to use ALPHAGAN-P?

Always use ALPHAGAN P as recommended by your doctor.

If you have any doubts about the effect of your medicine, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

The recommended dose of ALPHAGAN P is 1 drop 3 times a day, approximately 8 hours apart, into the affected eye.

Application route and method

Do not use the product if the tamper evident security band on the cap of the bottle is broken.
4. What are the possible side effects?

Like all medicines, ALPHAGAN P may have side effects in people who are sensitive to the substances contained in its content.

If any of the following occur, stop using ALPHAGAN-P and IMMEDIATELY inform your doctor or go to the nearest emergency department.

Swelling of the hands, feet, ankles, face and lips due to drug allergy, or swelling of the mouth or throat, which makes it difficult to swallow or breathe.

These are all very serious side effects.

If you have one of these, you have a serious allergy to ALPHAGAN P. You may need urgent medical attention or hospitalization.

2.Things to watch out for before using ALPHAGAN-P
DO NOT USE ALPHAGAN-P in the following situations

If;

- If you are allergic to brimonidine tartarata or any of the other ingredients of ALPHAGAN P

- If you are being treated with a group of drugs called monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors.

- ALPHAGAN P should not be used in children under 2 years of age.

USE ALPHAGAN-P CAREFULLY in the following cases

If;

If you have had kidney or liver problems in the past

- If you have depression or have had depression, have decreased mental capacity, decreased blood flow to the brain, have or have had heart problems, have or have had or have had blood flow to the arms and legs, or have or have had blood pressure problems

Occasionally, with ALPHAGAN P, eye allergy (swelling, itching, redness in the eye) may occur, if allergies are observed, stop ALPHAGAN P treatment.

ALPHAGAN P should not be used in children under 2 years of age unless your doctor recommends its use.

Children aged 2-7 years and / or less than 20 kg should be followed up carefully due to severe somnolence (excessive daytime sleepiness).
