What is BETASERC and what is it used for?

BETASERC is a white, round, beveled-edged tablet with a notch on one side, with "289" above and below the notch, and the letter "S" on the other side. It is packaged as 20 and 100 tablets in an aluminum blister.

BETASERC contains betahistine dihydrochloride as an active ingredient.

Used in Meniere's disease. Meniere's disease is defined by the following three main symptoms.

Severe bouts of dizziness with nausea and vomiting

Hearing loss or difficulty hearing

Tinnitus

It is used in the treatment of dizziness symptoms related to the inner ear.
3.How to use BETASERC?
Instructions for appropriate use and dose / frequency of administration

• The dose of BETASERC for adults is 1 tablet twice a day.

• Your doctor will adjust the dose of BETASERC according to your response to the treatment.

• Improvement in your disease can be observed after only a few weeks of treatment, and the best results can sometimes be achieved within a few months of your treatment.

• There are findings indicating that treatment from the onset of the disease prevents the progression of the disease and / or hearing loss that occurs in the later stages of the disease.

• Unless your doctor recommends otherwise follow these instructions.

4. What are the possible side effects?

Very rarely, skin hypersensitivity reactions, particularly skin rash, itching and hives, have been reported.

Do not use if you have hypersensitivity (allergy) to betahistine dihydrochloride or any component of BETASERC.

USE BETASERC CAREFULLY in the following situations

If you have pheochromocytoma (tumoral formation of the adrenal glands) or bronchial asthma, you should be carefully monitored by your doctor during your treatment with BETASERC.

If you have a history of stomach ulcers, necessary precautions should be taken in your treatment.

Using BETASERC with food and drink

You can use BETASERC before, after or with meals.
Pregnancy

Breast-feeding
