CLEOCIN 2% vaginal cream is applied inside the vagina.

What is CLEOCIN and what is it used for?

■ CLEOCIN Vaginal Cream contains an antibiotic called clindamycin phosphate and is in the form of a vaginal cream. This medication is used to treat bacterial vaginosis (a bacterial infection in the vagina).

■ CLEOCIN Vaginal Cream is presented with 7 disposable 40 g applicators with bakelite caps.
3.How to use CLEOCIN?
Instructions for appropriate use and dose / frequency of administration

Your doctor will decide in what dosage and how often you should take CLEOCIN Vaginal Cream.

The recommended dose is one full applicator (about 5 grams). An applicator full of medicine is applied inside the vagina before going to bed for seven days.

Follow your doctor's instructions exactly and never change the dose yourself.

Application of the applicator

There are 7 disposable plastic applicators in the medicine box, designed to allow the most appropriate application into the vagina.

1- Open the cap of the tube and attach one of the plastic applicators to the mouth of the tube.

2- Squeeze the tube gently from the bottom so that the cream is filled into the applicator.

Pushing the plunger in the applicator all the way out indicates that enough cream has been filled.

3- Separate the applicator from the tube and close the cap of the tube.
Do not throw the used applicator into the toilet.

4- While lying on your back, advance the applicator as deep as possible into the vagina.

5- Gently push the pusher arm in the applicator to the end.

6- Gently remove the discharged applicator from the vagina and throw it away.

Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the cream.

Kidney failure:

If you or a relative swallows CLEOCIN vaginal cream, contact your doctor immediately. The cream will probably not cause any harm, but your doctor will guide you on what to do.

If you have used more than you should use CLEOCIN Vaginal Cream, consult a doctor or pharmacist.

If you forget to take CLEOCIN Vaginal Cream:

If you pass a few hours after taking a dose of CLEOCIN Vaginal Cream, use it as soon as you remember. If the next dose is near, skip the missed dose. Apply the next doses on time.

Do not take a double dose to make up for forgotten doses.
4. What are the possible side effects?

As with all medicines, CLEOCIN Vaginal may cause side effects; However, these side effects may not occur in everyone.

If you notice any of the following, inform your doctor immediately or contact the emergency department of your nearest hospital:

• Uncommon severe, prolonged or bloody diarrhea (with severe cramping abdominal pain or fever). This is a side effect that can occur during or after treatment with antibiotics and indicates a serious bowel infection.

An allergic reaction occurs such as hives or measles-like rash
