What is EUMOVATE and what is it used for?

EUMOVATE is a locally acting anti-inflammatory glucocorticoid.

EUMOVATE is a homogeneous (similar in nature), white, water-washable cream available in 25g and 50g tubes.
3.How to use EUMOVATE?
Instructions for appropriate use and dose / frequency of administration

Unless otherwise recommended by the physician;

EUMOVATE is applied in a thin layer, in an amount that will softly cover the affected area, once or twice a day for 4 weeks until improvement is achieved. Then the frequency of administration is reduced or the treatment is changed to a less potent drug. Sufficient time should be waited for absorption before applying an emollient after each application.

If the condition worsens or does not improve in 2-4 weeks, treatment and complete re-evaluation should be made.

After the lesion control is achieved, the treatment should be tapered and a softener should be used as maintenance therapy.

EUMOVATE is applied to the affected area gently as a thin layer.

Use in children

Long-term topical treatments should be avoided as much as possible in infants and children. It should be administered in the least amount of benefit to children and should not be used for more than 7 days.

Use in the elderly

It should be used in the smallest amount and in the shortest time to achieve the desired clinical effect.
Special use cases

Kidney / liver failure:

It should be used in the smallest amount and in the shortest time to achieve the desired clinical effect.

If you have the impression that the effect of EUMOVATE is too strong or too weak, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

4. What are the possible side effects?

Like all medicines, people who are sensitive to the substances contained in EUMOVATE may have side effects.

If any of the following occur, stop using EUMOVATE and IMMEDIATELY inform your doctor or go to the emergency department of your nearest hospital.

Hypersensitivity reactions (skin rash, swelling of the face, lips, tongue or larynx)

These are all very serious side effects.

If you have one of these, it means you have an allegiance to EUMOVATE. You may need urgent medical attention or hospitalization.

Decrease in cortisol hormone in the blood
Increased sugar level in the blood and sugar in the urine
Increased blood pressure
Clouding in the lens of the eye (cataract)
Increased intraocular pressure (glaucoma)
Weakness due to mineral loss in bones (osteoporosis)
2.Things to watch out for before using EUMOVATE
DO NOT USE EUMOVATE in the following situations

If;

    If you are allergic to clobetasone butyrate or any of the ingredients of the medicine.
    If you have an untreated skin infection
    If you have acne problem (acne vulgaris).
    Rosacea (severe hot flushes on the skin and around the nose)
    itching without inflammation

    Skin lesions caused by viral inflammations (eg cold sores, chickenpox), fungi (eg Candida, tinea) or bacteria (eg impetigo)
    USE EUMOVATE CAREFULLY in the following situations
    Prolonged use should be avoided in infants and children under 12 years of age, and treatment normally should not exceed seven days.
    Treatment of eczema (an inflammatory skin disease) in infants and young children should be continued under the supervision of a doctor. For this reason, the treatment without the supervision of a doctor is limited to 7 days of continuous non-bandaged treatment for adults and children aged 12 and over.
    In inflammatory tissue disorders, an appropriate treatment should be applied to microorganisms.
    It is not recommended for use in the pimply face area.
    The same area where EUMOVATE‘m is used should not be treated for the third time without the diagnosis of a physician.
    When the inflammation spreads, EUMOVATE treatment should be discontinued and antibiotic treatment applied.
