FUCIDIN 2% cream

For external use.

Active ingredient
One gram of cream contains 20 mg of Fusidic acid.

Excipients
Contains butylhydroxyanisole, cetyl alcohol, glycerol, liquid paraffin, potassium sorbate, polysorbate 60, white soft paraffin and purified water.

1. What is FUCIDIN and what is it used for?

FUCIDIN is presented in 20g aluminum tubes.

Fusidic acid, the active ingredient of FUCIDIN; It is an antibiotic and has a strong antibacterial (destroying bacteria or preventing their reproduction) effect on many microorganisms.

It is used in the treatment of skin diseases caused by organisms sensitive to FUCIDIN.

2. How to use FUCIDIN?

FUCIDIN is applied to the lesions 2-3 times a day and for the time recommended by the doctor. It can be covered or left open after application.

Special Use Cases: Kidney/Liver Failure:

No dosage adjustment has been reported in patients with renal and hepatic dysfunction.

If you forget to use FUCIDIN

3. What are the possible side effects?

Like all medicines, there may be side effects in people who are sensitive to the substances contained in FUCIDIN.

If any of the following occur, stop using FUCIDIN and IMMEDIATELY inform your doctor or go to the nearest hospital emergency department:

• Swelling of the hands, feet, wrists, face, lips, or especially swelling of the mouth or throat that makes it difficult to swallow or breathe

If you have one of these, it means you have a serious allergy to FUCIDIN. You may need urgent medical attention or hospitalization.'

'All of these very serious side effects are very rare.'

Tell your doctor if you notice any of the following:

• Drying


2. Things to consider before using FUCIDIN


DO NOT USE FUCIDIN in the following conditions

- If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to fusidic acid and its salts or any of the other ingredients.

- It should not be used in infections caused by non-susceptible organisms such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

- Do not apply to open wounds, otherwise it will cause allergic reactions.

USE FUCIDIN CAREFULLY in the following situations

Your doctor will decide whether to use FUCIDIN for you or your child in the following cases.

- In skin infections around the eyes, as it may cause eye irritation

- As with all other topical antibiotics, when there is a risk of developing contact sensitization and antibiotic resistance due to prolonged and frequent administration
