2.What is TAVEGYL and what is it used for?

    TAVEGYL is a tablet-form drug containing clemastine as an active ingredient.
    TAVEGYL works by reducing the negative effects of the substance called "histamine", which is included in a group of drugs called "antihistamines" and released by the body during allergic reactions.
    TAVEGYL tablets are whitish, round in appearance and have an X-shaped notch on one side. TAVEGYL is available in blister packs of 20 tablets.
3. How to use TAVEGYL?

Use in the elderly

Instructions for appropriate use and dose / frequency of administration

Unless recommended otherwise by the doctor, use at the specified doses for yourself / your child.

In adults and children over 12 years of age:

1 tablet to be taken in the morning and evening. It can be used up to 6 tablets per day in stubborn cases.

It should not be used in children under the age of 12 without consulting a doctor.

For children between the ages of 6-12

It is recommended to use V2-I tablet in the morning before breakfast and at bedtime.

The use of TAVEGYL in the elderly has not been studied.

If you have an impression that the effect of TAVEGYL is too strong or too weak, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
If you use more TAVEGYL than you should

If you have used more than you should use from TAVEGYL, talk to a doctor and pharmacist.
If you forgot to use TAVEGYL

If you forget to take a dose of TAVEGYL and you have more than 2 hours to take the other dose, use it immediately.

Do not take a double dose to make up for forgotten doses.
4. What are the possible side effects?

Like all medicines, people who are sensitive to the ingredients of TAVEGYL may have side effects.

If any of the following occur, stop using TAVEGYL and IMMEDIATELY inform your doctor or go to the nearest emergency department.
Hypersensitivity reactions (such as difficulty in breathing or swallowing; swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat; severe itching of the skin with rash)

These are all very serious side effects. If you have one of these, it means you have a serious allegiance to TAVEGYL. You may need urgent medical attention or hospitalization.

All of these very serious side effects are very rare.
If you notice any of the following, inform your doctor immediately or contact the emergency department of your nearest hospital:
Difficulty breathing
Rapid heart rate

All these are serious side effects. Immediate medical attention may be required.

Tiredness, sleepiness
Headache
Excitability / excitability
