Active ingredient
Each film-coated tablet contains 8 mg of lomoxicam.

Excipients
Contains calcium stearate, hydroxypropyl cellulose, sodium hydrogen carbonate, low substituted hydroxypropyl cellulose, microcrystalline cellulose, calcium hydrogen phosphate, anhydrous, propylene glycol, talc, hypromellose and titanium dioxide (E171) as dyestuff.

1. What is XEFO RAPID and what is it used for?

        XEFO RAPID is a drug from the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) with analgesic effects.
        XEFO RAPID is a white to yellow, round biconvex, film-coated tablet. It is available in packages containing 10 tablets in our country.

2. How to use XEFO RAPID?

Always use XEFO RAPID as prescribed by your doctor. If you are unsure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

The recommended daily dose for adults is 1 or 2 tablets (8-16 mg of lornoxicam).

It can be taken as 2 tablets once a day or 1 tablet twice a day.

After taking 2 tablets on the first day of treatment, 1 more tablet can be taken 12 hours later.

After the first day, no more than 2 tablets should be taken per day.

XEFO RAPID is for oral use and should be swallowed with a sufficient amount of water.

XEFO RAPID is not recommended to be taken with food as it may reduce its effectiveness.

Kidney / Liver failure

3. What are the possible side effects?

Like all medicines, there may be side effects in people who are sensitive to the substances contained in XEFO RAPID.

If any of the following occur, stop using XEFO RAPID and IMMEDIATELY inform your doctor or go to the nearest hospital emergency department.
Shortness of breath, pain in the chest, swelling in the ankles or worsening if this is pre-existing
Severe or persistent stomach pain or black stools
Yellowing of the skin and eyes (jaundice: a sign of a problem with your liver)
Allergic reactions, including skin sores and blisters
Fever, boils and inflammation, especially on the hands and feet or in the mouth area (Stevens-Johnsons disease)
Serious skin infections if you have varicella (chickenpox) disease

All these are serious side effects. If you have one of these, it means you have a serious allergy to XEFO RAPID. You may need emergency medical attention or hospitalization.
