Active ingredient
One oral lyophilized tablet contains 120 micrograms of desmopressin (free base) as desmopressin acetate (approximately 135 micrograms).

Excipients
Gelatin (from fish), mannitol (E421), citric acid, anhydrous (E330).


1.What is the MINIRIN MELT and what is it used for?

MINIRIN Melt tablet (dissolving in mouth) contains 120 microgram desmopressin in oral lyophilized form. The tablets contain gelatin, mannitol and citric acid. MINIRIN Melt; antidiuretic

hormone is included in the ADH group.

MINIRIN Melt is available in blister packs containing 10, 30 or 100 tablets.

MINIRIN Melt is used in the following situations:

Primary enuresis nocturnal (bedwetting)

It is used from the age of five. If bed wetting occurs due to excessive fluid intake, MINIRIN Melt should not be used.

• Nocturia in adults: Requiring urination at night due to excessive urine production; For example, a condition that causes the person to produce urine that exceeds the capacity of the bladder

• Sugar-free diabetes (central diabetes insipidus), excessive thirst and continuous production of dilute urine in large volumes

IMPORTANT: This condition should not be confused with diabetes mellitus (diabetes mellitus and diabetes).


2.How to use the MINIRIN MELT?

Night urination (from the age of 5)

As the starting dose, a 120 microgram orally dissolving tablet is placed on the tongue before going to bed. If your doctor deems necessary, the dose can be increased up to 240 micrograms. Do not drink anything until morning. Your doctor usually decides whether to continue treatment or not by re-evaluation every three months. The prescribed dose should not be taken more than once a day.

Nocturia

As an initial dose, a 60 microgram orally dissolving tablet is placed on the tongue before going to bed. If your doctor deems it necessary, the dose can be increased to 120 micrograms first and then up to 240 micrograms by weekly dose adjustment. Do not drink anything until morning.

Your doctor may ask you to prepare a table by following how many times and how much you urinate in order to measure the excess amount of urination at night 2 days before starting treatment.

The production of nocturnal urine exceeding the capacity of your bladder or overnight urine production of more than one-third of the urine produced for 1 full day is considered nocturnal polyuria (production of large amounts of urine at night).

In children and adults, a dose of 60 micrograms 3 times a day is initially placed on the tongue as a dissolving tablet. Continuing in most patients, a dose of 60 micrograms or 120 micrograms three times a day is placed on the tongue as a dissolving tablet. The total daily dose ranges from 120-720 micrograms.

3. What are the possible side effects?

Excessive fluid intake
