What is PSODERM and what is it used for?

PSODERM is a member of a group of drugs called topical steroids that are applied to the skin. Topical steroids reduce itching and redness in certain skin problems.

PSODERM is used to reduce the effects of inflammation in skin problems such as discoid lupus erythematosus (usually plaques on the face - a type of skin disease), lichen planus (benign skin disease affecting the skin, skin appendages and mucous membranes), psoriasis, difficult to treat eczema.
3.How to use PSODERM?

Instructions for appropriate use and dose / frequency of administration:

If there is anything you do not understand or have difficulty with, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

It is applied in a thin layer, in an amount that will softly cover the affected area, once or twice a day for 4 weeks until recovery is achieved. Then the frequency of administration is reduced or the treatment is changed to a less potent Medicine. Sufficient time should be waited for absorption before applying an emollient after each application. If the condition worsens or does not improve in 2-4 weeks, treatment and complete re-evaluation should be made.

Unless your doctor tells you;

• Do not use more than mentioned above.

• Do not use it on large body surfaces for a long time (eg almost every day for weeks or months).

• When applied to the face, it should not be used longer than 5 days.

If you use more PSODERM than you should

Although it is unlikely to use high doses in a short time, symptoms of hypercortisolism (excessive steroid hormone secretion from the adrenal gland) may occur as a result of prolonged high doses or misuse, and in this case, PSODERM treatment should be reduced and discontinued due to the risk of adrenal insufficiency (adrenal insufficiency).

If you have used more than you should use from PSODERM, talk to a doctor or pharmacist.

If you forgot to use PSODERM

If you forget to apply your ointment, apply the usual dose as you remember or wait until then if it is close to the next application.

Do not take a double dose to make up for forgotten doses.

Effects that may occur when treatment with PSODERM is terminated

No adverse effects are expected when PSODERM treatment is terminated. However, do not stop taking the medication without consulting your doctor.
